New Life is the newest song by Spirit 3:6. It was released on 14th September, 2023. The song is a fictional story (with deeper meaning) about a guy who was born in a town that was under the control of a wicked king. The king made his subjects serve him like slaves and no one could escape. This guy later got his freedom from the control of this wicked king.
New life was skillfully written, composed and beautifully produced by Spirit 3:6. It features the amazing voice of Skiffy Kanees in a powerful chorus. The genre of the song is a blend of Funk and Hip pop and it obviously has an upbeat rhythm.

Verse 1:
Let’s talk about a man; Jerry
He lives in a town called Neri-Beri.
It was a cold and gloomy town
where anybody there was never merry.
Neri-Beri had a king.
He was strong and very mean.
They bowed to him and did all his bids, but

Like other citizens of Neri-Beri, who’s lost their will, their hopes; their dreams were dead and buried,
Jerry too was now weary.
But something in him tells him, “you gotta hang in”.
All he wants is a better life.
Obviously he is not satisfied.
But how can he get the life that he desires with nobody to help him rise?

One day Jerry found a book
in a room where his father left a pile of books
Reading the book he found the truth; that the price for his liberty was paid in full.
So wicked king had no right to rule
Over him or anyone; they had all been fooled.
Standing on the truth, Jerry broke loose from his pain and gloom and got a life that was brand new.

Meaning Of the Song, New Life
Even though New Life is a fictional story, it has a meaning that is deeply rooted in the Christian faith. The man, Jerry, represents every human being born into the world. The town Neri-Beri represents the world. The wicked king represents Sin and Satan. The Bible tells us that everyone born into the world is born into Sin (Rom. 3:23). Also, the Bible calls Satan, the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4), meaning that the world and its system is under the control of Satan.
However, there are is a better life which Satan tries to prevent everyone under his control from having. And Christ had paid (in full) for everyone to have that new life. In 2 Cor. 5:17 (NLT), the Bible says, “anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun.” Christ did this by giving Himself to be crucified on the cross. He died & rose so that we may have this new life.
It was this truth that Jerry discovered and gained freedom from the wicked king (Sin and Satan).
Like Jerry and other people in Neri-Beri, though Christ has paid for the freedom (salvation) of everyone, many are still under the bondage of Satan. But whenever anyone hears and believes this GoodNews (the Gospel), that person becomes saved and receives a new life (eternal life), just like Jerry did. One of the most popular verses of the Bible, John 3:16 says, “this is how God loved the world; He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
New Life is basically the story of how believers get saved from sin and Satan and have eternal life (new life).
